My Top 10 Christmas Songs for the Holidays
Christmas is the most magical holiday there is! And how could it not be? There is so much to take in between the decorations, food, gifts and parties a person is swept in to the wintry wonderland bliss of Christmas. And the music is a big part of the ambiance.
Below are my top 10 favorites for Christmas time.
1. Little Drummer Boy - "Rump-a-pum-pum" goes the little drummer boy as he joyful strikes his drum. This Christmas song has always filled my heart with joy and love.
2. Jingle Bells- This is a favorite by everyone. Its jolly jangle lifts the spirits of even the biggest of scrooges!
3. Christ is Born in Bethlehem - This song always brings back fond childhood memories of Christmas Eve pageants and the excitement of the magical holiday. This song is always a given at church the night before Christmas.
4. Deck the Halls - This is one of the best songs to listen to while decorating the Christmas tree and house. It helps set the "fa - la - la - la" carefree and festive mood.
5. I'll Be Home for Christmas - A song about those who can only come home in dreams always reminds me of how lucky I am to have my family around.
6. The Twelve Days of Christmas - This song is fun for a group of people to sing. Trying to remember all the verses is fun. It's a fun song to do a holiday skit to!
7. First Noel - This song is about the travels of the Three Wisemen on their way to meet Jesus, King of Israel. It is a heart touching song to all those who believe.
