Increase Your Knowledge

Said and Done

This poem was written during a difficult transition time for my family. The stresses were many and the weight of the world was immense, but our faith in God kept us on track to do what we had to do.

It's hard to understand
Why others hide
I can't walk away
Knowing she'd die

God's children help
When others can't
Sometimes we crack
But quickly recant

Doing what's right
God's will is done
No one said it'd be easy
Or promised great fun

We'll continue to endure
What others just won't
Treasuring the memories
Knowing what they don't

Life isn't about materials
Fortune and fame
It's not just about you
Or winning the game

So we'll do our part
And have no regrets
We'll love harder
As she quickly forgets

When it's all said and done
We'll bow our heads down
Thank God for the moments
And smile while others frown
